From the very beginning, our passion has always been to serve the highest quality so that everyone feels comfortable and enjoys their meal. That’s why we work exclusively with local suppliers, whom we have carefully selected according to strict LEO criteria. All of them are long-standing partners and traditional Austrian businesses that source their sustainable products from select regional farmers. This is the only way we can guarantee you the highest standards of quality and freshness in our products!
Our extensive menu is constantly being expanded with exciting new dishes, always keeping an eye on organic quality and catering to our vegetarian guests.
A family business turns 98
In 1928, Leopold Mlynek Sr. founded Vienna’s first sausage stand. Later, Federal Chancellor Dr. Bruno Kreisky was among its patrons. Since 1991, Vera Tondl, née Mlynek, has been running the family business in its third generation. To this day, #LEO remains a popular meeting place day and night!
The legendary Käsekrainer (cheese-filled sausage) is especially popular, and here’s our giant Käsekrainer – the BIG MAMA – elegantly served on a tray for up to four people and garnished with homemade sauces, bread, and savory side dishes.
In 2023, the LEO celebrates its 95th birthday!
